Re: For Canadian users of this site........

Do you direct connect to the file sharing sites? So far only Teksavvy has caved in to notices, but Rogers and Shaw also track connections. https://www.reddit.com/r/torrents/comments/4051gl/torrenting_in_canada/ Remember, Ice only gives you the info, it is the hosters that you draw from that your ISP...

Re: For Canadian users of this site........

Well, there is a weak spot in all the above. From the Tor site: Torrent file-sharing applications have been observed to ignore proxy settings and make direct connections even when they are told to use Tor. Even if your torrent application connects only through Tor, you will often send out your real ...

For Canadian users of this site........

I'm about a year late in bringing this up, but thanks to that prick Stephen Harper caving in to the MPAA etc., We face the same predicament that our brothers and sisters have in Australia and the UK. {while this relates to torrents it also applies to direct downloaders} and while we did get rid of t...

Re: Question about subtitles in movies

Well, in the 'old days' of Laserdisc, in English movies that have another character language, say Chinese, those subtitles would be hard coded into the main MPEG, especially for widescreen releases, with them being in the black bar beneath the action. I discovered, like you did, that DVD rips would ...

Davey,
all you can do is what others in UK have done and go VPN, torrent users have been doing that for years. I'll leave you a PM.

Re: AMERICAN DAD - Episode numbers....

BECAUSE ever since the move from Fox Sundays to TBS, its been mixed up due to short seasons. TBS is actually to blame. Though go here to see broadcast times: http://www.tv.com/shows/american-dad/episodes/ It used to air Sundays on Global/Shaw here in the Great [not-so]White[anymore] North, then it a...

Re: Always cuts short

Well, I waited 48 hrs to dl "The 100" S03E15 and lo and behold the only link on every single 480p host, 10 in all, was an ul by -FLEET. I guess I'll just have to use KODI whenever I encounter these from now on. Hate to do so, but can't watch a show that I don't trust to be 100% complete. ...

Re: Always cuts short

Thanks Russ, please understand that this is no way a reflection on Ice nor an admonishment. You guys are great. The one that continually shows up doing this has -FLEET. in every episode descripter they ul. Not sure if that is what you are asking or not. They all do it to some degree, even the best ...

Re: Game of Thrones 6x01 The Red Woman in RUSSIAN!

I just downloaded the eagerly awaited premiere of GoT. One of those oddly slow downloads that transfer at about 0.1 times the speed of normal. I was a little worried when the credits were in Cyrillic script but surely it wouldn't be dubbed as well. I mean who would do that? Repdaddy apparently. I s...

Re: popup problem!!..

I take note of the pop-ups origin, just wave your pointer over the ad, then [at least in Firefox] in the lower left hand corner, you'll see a URL. Create a matching filter in your adblocker and it should go away.

[quote="longjohn13" I am using windows 8.1, chrome and divx. Thank you![/quote] Why divx? XviD is the current standard for .avi files now. Yeah, perhaps someone with the same specs as you may want to chime in here. For myself, just as there are XP holdouts, protecting their systems with A-...
