Re: Hitting Play Leads to a Grey Screen

This is because of HTTPS. We will look into fixing it. In the mean time, here is a workaround in Chrome (probably similar in FF): - A reddish shield icon appears on the right side of the address bar just to the left of the bookmark star. - Click this icon and tell it to allow unsafe (non...

Re: Hello, Icefilm.

Re: Banner pop-up

meh I have tried to reason with them about ads but they don't get it. Would love to let some through to help pay them but they insist on having popup ads and new tabs open to crap ad hosts. I just block all of their scripts theses days. Its unfortunate too cause I would really love to do my part. I...

Re: Popups are worse with adblock disabled?

This should not be the case and has never been the case in my testing. It is possible you have failed to disable ad blocking or you have some sort of malware installed.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: PUM Hijacker

I anyone still having issues? I thought all the evil ad networks had been dealt with. We are using 2 ad networks now which seem to be quite good at filtering out the malvertisements. Ad Network #1: This ad network runs only for people who are blocking ads (which is about 60% of our users). It contai...

Re: 403 Forbidden

What are the odds that we could get that system running on the icefilms server for everyone to use? ...if it's possible with an email address or something, maybe some people would find it useful. Of course we'd also need an "unsubscribe" button. The work to implement is discouraging. Still...

Re: New pop up maleware ads

the traffic in the forum is too low to generate revenue so placing ads here would gain nothing.

I, too, wish the ads were less shitty.

no, it does not sound like you are one of the abusers, however we are disinclined to make exceptions. It is our position that other web servers are bad and we feel safer blocking their ip ranges.
