This British pop duo had a top ten hit in the early 90's that was featured in a movie about a prostitute.

This British rock band was formed in the late 60's and had their only #1 hit in the early 80's. Their name is very "affirmative".

I hate to keep bringing this up too, but I don't really feel like JEW is a One Hit Wonder either. Sure, technically they only had 1 song break the US hot 100 or w/e, but they had like 3 other songs on that album alone break the top 20 I think.

You have clearly laid out the criteria, so that's fine, I guess we go with that, but I feel like a OHW is not only really defined by chart position, but also the "flash in the pan" career that tends to go along with that one hit song. It's the idea of the not being known, to hit song, to irrelevance in the music industry, whether they are still a band, making music, etc. Just my 2 cents ;)

The reason why I've restricted it to the top ten on the US Billboard charts is because if you open it up to songs that charted lower than that, not only are you extremely narrowing down the list of bands you can name, but you are also opening it up to bands and songs that no one has ever heard of before and that would make the game stagnant. If I didn't have that rule in place, someone would post a song that reached all the way up to whopping #88 and everyone would be scratching their heads before and after the video was posted. The idea is to post songs that are legitimate one-hit wonders that most people on the planet have heard of. Based on that criteria, JEW falls into that category.

This Scottish duo released their hit song in the UK somewhere around the late 80's, but it didn't climb the US charts until many
years later. The chorus of the song definitely "covers some ground".
