The last Chrome update Disabled npapi by default
This will stop divx from working
To fix enter in the address bar
chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
Click enable npapi
Restart Chrome

According to http://blog.chromium.org/2014/11/the-fi ... npapi.html

Last September we announced our plan to remove NPAPI support from Chrome, a change that will improve Chrome’s security, speed, and stability as well as reduce complexity in the code base.
...
In April 2015 NPAPI support will be disabled by default in Chrome and we will unpublish extensions requiring NPAPI plugins from the Chrome Web Store.

As Way points out, NPAPI can be re-enabled, but not for long...

In September 2015 we will remove the override and NPAPI support will be permanently removed from Chrome. Installed extensions that require NPAPI plugins will no longer be able to load those plugins.

The best solution for Sept 2015 is to use VLC. VLC Player streams perfectly as long as you configure these 3 settings (to fix the pause issue, buffering, and always on top). If you're in love with DivX Web Player, Firefox will likely continue to support NPAPI.

Firefox will be following suit, disabling NPAPI by the end of 2016. https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases ... n-firefox/
