Small mainsite issue.

Hi folks,

Sincere apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, (I tried technical forum but it appears to be locked?).

First of all, it's really great to see you guys back up and running again. I really don't want to add to your troubles but am experiencing a slight tech issue with the mainsite.

Basically since the site came back up again, where you post the links on the left hand side, there's a link that says 'more' under each section - these seem to have stopped working for me. Also, the bookmarks/favourites not working either.

I use Chrome browser on Ubuntu OS.

If anyone could offer any help or advice, that would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks and happy new year :)

Just click on Technical Assistance/Technical Issues/Main Site Issues/Bad Links. Then choose sub-section that meets your need. Nothing you need is locked just the main section for the Staff Announcements.

Try clearing your browser cache first.

If that doesn't fix it then you'll prolly have to clear the IceFilms cookies, which will also clear your list.

Unfortunately when things break for the site it will in turn break things on the users end also just the headaches of how things are.

How To Chrome:
Adjust cookie and site data permissions

Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings.
Click Show advanced settings.
In the "Privacy" section, click the Content settings button.
In the "Cookies" section, you can change the following cookies settings:

Delete cookies
Click All cookies and site data to open the Cookies and site data dialog.
To delete all cookies, click Remove all at the bottom of the dialog.
To delete a specific cookie, hover over the site that issued the cookie with your mouse, then click the X that appears on the right corner.(IceFilms.info)

You can also choose to remove all cookies created during a specific time period, using the Clear Browsing Data dialog.

How To FireFox:

To delete cookies for one site:

Click the menu button and choose Options.

Select the Privacy panel.
Under history choose Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings
Click Show Cookies.... The Cookies window will appear.
In the Search: field, type the name of the site whose cookies you want to remove. (IceFilms.info)
The cookies that match your search will be displayed.
Select the cookie(s) in the list to remove and click Remove Selected.
Select the first cookie and press Shift+End to select all the cookies in the list.
Click Close to close the Cookies window. Close the about:preferences page.

Hey - thanks for the reply.

This is weird though. The problem seemed to sort itself out earlier. Without me doing anything, it all started working again. Now though, again without me doing anything, it's gone back to not working. I'm confused.

I chime in sometimes to keep this thread in my list so I can help if I run across something. Didn't mean to scare you. LOL Maybe...

Why dont you just reinstall chrome and see if that takes care of your issue. I had the same issue with my macbook and thats all I had to do DGTA. I hope that solves your problem.

Okay - so it took me quite a while to figure it out, but I got there in the end.

Basically, it was Chrome blocking your scripts because it thinks something on the site isn't secure?
