Having trouble with VLC links in Linux

Okay I have VLC media player, I have it in Firefox and I have downloaded everything I can find for VLC, when I try to stream the video, it only gives me the option to open it with Mozilla, even if I download it. I tried to open it with VLC, but it doesn't show up as an option. FLV never gives me an issue.

I would also like to suggest you use Putlocker and/or Sockshare for filehosting. www.putlocker.com www.sockshare.com I use them when I have to go to 1channel and they load pretty quickly while streaming.

I fixed it. Here is what I did. Go into any of your saved video files, change the name so it has .xspf at the end. For example I had a video named Wash.3p, I changed it to Wash.xspf, then go in and set VLC as the default media player for any video of that type. Now you should be able to open with VLC media player.

Return to “Video”
