Google MALWARE Notice

Google just today, for me, started to throw out a warning page when trying to access Ice.

My apologies if this is the wrong place, within the forum, to report such issues.

LordCWB,
Correct category which is in security.
Damn browsers accusing Icefilms
contain harmful software. That is a threat
to security..sniff (sad)

But I placed my reply on General Feedback category (Ooops)
in reply to Lone Browncoat
Ppl were there so .. there I was

By the way,so untrue that since Firefox upgrade
this warning came up
Hmm, I am still on Firefox 17.01

Google reporting Ice as malware

HI guys,

I'm pretty sure this is nothing to worry about but I thought it worth a mention. My FF is throwing up the "Google has identified this site as hosting malware" warning again.

Just wanted to let you know.

It is a rogue ad on our advertisement network. No worries. You can see the Urls of the offenders if you click the "why" button. You can then block them with an adblocker.
The internet interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

Badware, hmmm.......

Well, I saw something I haven't seen before. I got the usual "This is an attack page" or something to that effect when I clicked on Icefilms just now, then when I went on to ignore it, another page popped up and told me that good old Google had informed Firefox that badware was infecting the Icefilm's home page.

In computer years, my computer is almost as old and cranky as I am (and that's pretty old and cranky!), so for it to throw a few false alarms is not something I stress over too much, but I thought I should drop a note here and let you guys know what happened.

Ya happened to me today also on chrome; just clicked details / visit unsafe site.

As long as you have adblock plus I would think that it would not be an issue (also a good antivirus just encase something gets past adblock ie. avast free version). But yeah.

I'm getting it in Google Chrome and using an ad-blocker does nothing. How do I get rid of it?

Never mind. I added the links listed to Ad-Block Plus and it's stopped. (y)

I am using Firefox along with Adblock Plus and I am still having the same problem. I believe/think that since it is coming from the IceFilms/Network then it should be addressed from within the site itself?!? If there is a certain way to deal with this, I really would appreciate and be very thankful for all your generous help!
