This is a repeat post on repeated buffing during playback.
Since it was originally posted on a connection failed issue, I felt it best to post it on it's own thread for Google search purposes.
I ran into the buffering issue on two computers one week apart when I had to start from the beginning with new drives.
If you are having a repeating buffering issue during playback on most videos, when your video gets a good buffer line to test this, right click on your divx web player and click on audio source. Turn It Off.
Now, try to run your video.
Does it run smooth?
If so, you need to install the divx "Plus" codec and converter.
You can find that here:
http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx-plus/codec-pack
Uninstall any other codec packs you may have already before installing the plus.
When you get to the part of it asking you exactly what to install, do not have the divx plus "webplayer" check marked. You want the old version as listed on the home page of icefilms.info.
Once installed, reboot and try again to load your video.
Make sure you have the audio this time enabled.
It should stream with out a flaw.
If it does not, go to the thread, NO SOUND/AUDIO??? READ THIS!!!
located here: http://forum.icefilms.info/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=643
The first post you see will have the AC3 filter link.
Again, once installed, reboot and try streaming again.
You do not need to uninstall the DIVX Plus pack.
This should do the trick for those who keep getting the repeated buffering during playback who use the old version of the webplayer.
I have both the AC3 and the divx plus packs (not the webplayer plus) installed and on both computers, they fixed them right up.
Hope I did someone some good.
