Update to 5.7 problems Post/Topic

I tried downloading the new update for ICE Quick Stream but Google chrome is being stubborn. Every time I try to download the new script, chrome tells me the following: "apps , extensions, and user scripts cannot be added from this website." In the past, the same message would come up but it would still allow me to download. I know how to install the script on Chrome because it has worked for me in the past but i cannot download it for some reason. Not sure what the issue is. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Step 1: Open your Extensions tab from the Tools menu ( chrome://chrome/extensions/ )
Step 2: Download the Script
Step 3: Drag the script from your download bar into the Extensions tab.

5.7 and Chrome issues

I've installed the script manually (drag and drop to extensions) and also added tampermonkey but when I try to click a source to watch a show I get a message that says:

"How did you get here?

You need to install Ice Quickstream"

Well, I've done it every possible way I could but it's just not running right on the website.

Any help?

did you close and restart chrome?

Is IQS turned on/enabled ?

You could always remove IQS from chrome and re-instal.

Yeah, I've restarted Chrome, my computer, uninstalled/reinstalled.

The new sources are there, but when I click any of them I'm getting the "How did you get here?" message.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Clear the browser cache and cookies, or at least clear it for IceFilms.

Take a screenshot of what your getting.

Print Screen button open Paint / paste and save as jpg.

Upload to any image host site like Imageshack and post the link image here so we can see what your getting this is the first I have ever heard of this error.

Not a .jpg but still works the same I hope.

Can't figure out why I'm seemingly the only one getting this.

Yes that is prefect some how IQS is broken on your system.

What I would suggest is to remove any/all IQS both from chrome extensions & Tampermonkey.

Remove Tampermonkey.
To remove TM, open Chrome and right click at the TM extension icon and choose Uninstall.

Download Ccleaner and do a registry scan & clean/repair then reinstall IQS.

Chrome Blocking Script Download?

I know about downloading and dragging with Chrome but now it won't let me download the file at all?

Getting a message that says "Apps, extensions, and user scripts can not be downloaded from this website" with the only option being to click the "OK" button which doesn't download the file?

Tried Tampermonkey suggestion but it doesn't seem to be working.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Re: Chrome Blocking Script Download?

Step 1: Open your Extensions tab from the Tools menu ( chrome://chrome/extensions/ )
Step 2: Download the Script
Step 3: Drag the script from your download bar into the Extensions tab.

Make sure that IQS is turned on in tampermonkey.

Here is a post already started on the topic I will merge this post with the other one, so we don't have 35 post on the same issue.
