Icefilms requires a script for streaming. This script is called Ice Quick Stream (IQS).

What is IQS?
ICE Quick Stream is a helper script used to stream videos on Icefilms, megaupload, megaporn, and 2shared. IQS comes in 2 flavors: GM Script and Bookmarklet. Also known as: automatic and manual. The IQS script is an OPEN SOURCE project written in javascript that is designed to embed the ICE Player directly into certain pages for easy streaming.

Is IQS Safe?
Yes.

• IQS is written in unencrypted, uncompressed javascript which means it is totally OPEN SOURCE and you can read it every day, all day until you feel safe.
  
• Javascript is also limited by security features which prevent it from accessing files on your local computer, so I doubt it could do much (if any) harm. It also has cross-domain security, which prevent it from accessing websites on any domain other than the current domain.
  
• Other javascript code already runs in your browser when you visit ICE and millions of other websites whether you realize it or not. All this javascript code can be (and is) updated and changed without your notice, and then runs in your browser without your permission. In this respect IQS is more secure because we ask your permission.

Why should I use IQS?

1. IQS is fast -- in the past the old proxy method would slow down and could sometimes deny your connection entirely.
2. IQS works on the Mega page itself -- so you dont have to get all your mega links from Icefilms to enjoy quality streaming.
3. IQS automatically enters and submits the mega captcha (as long as you are not using Internet Explorer).
4. IQS doesn't impact our server -- the old proxy method would sometimes cause the server to die.
5. IQS allows you to use your Megaupload Premium login if you have one -- that means no wait times and no download limits!
6. IQS is the only way to stream from 2shared.

Which flavor of IQS should I use?
GM Script or Bookmarklet?
You should use the GM Script because it runs automatically and skips the "2 boxes" page.
The Bookmarklet is there for people who cant use the GM Script. It's the same script, it just has to be clicked to run, and it's the simplest IQS solution when you don't have time to install Greasemonkey.

just wondering why any video i wtch on megaup now give me the ice player ect even if im not using ur site which is top by the way ?

IQS works on any site you visits. You see that monkey on the bottom right.. he's kwell

You can turn it off by clicking right mouse clicking on the monkey
then [MANAGE USER SCRIPTS...]
THEN higlighting: [Ice Quick Stream]

Go to .. Included Pages

and change [http://*] into [ http://www.icefilms.info/* ]

What about Opera support ?

I've given up with Fire Fox as it is getting slower and slower, crashes and freezes and forgets to remember your tabs at times. I hate I.E. and will not use it for anything at all. I am concerned about Chromes collecting of data, so have moved back to opera - - but ice films don't seem to support it.

I have installed the greasemonkey and the GM script to my firefox add-ons. When i try to play a video it just shows the same 3 boxes of options as if i donot have the Greasemnkey installed. What am i doing wrong here?

make sure greasemonkey is enabled (the monkey face is lit up in the lower right corner).

try going directly to a mega url (ex: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IL1AUP9S) and see if a black box appears at the top.

right click the monkey face and verify the script has been installed.

i have a question, I've downloaded greasemonkey and the new streaming thing. so i go to the show i want to watch it brings me to the page to chose which option i click one and nothing happens, am i doing anything wrong?

i am using chrome and everytime i try to maximize the screen i get a white rectangle that blocks up the screen. how do i get rid of this??????

This isn't compatible with Window's 7, is it?

Will work fine on windows 7.
