I had never seen him in anything before the announcement was made that he would portray Supes. Now that I've watched Immortals, I'm convinced he'll do a good jog with the role. However, still not digging the belt-free suit.

Not sure why Pam is standing next to Supes. Is Jim aware of this?

I think someone has taken some photoshop liberties with that pic, not so shiny or bright in this one....

I read an early review that claims this is the movie of the year.

A couple of your past points;

Kirk Alyn, the guy before him had the Kal-El curl but George Reeves didn't...

If my aged memory serves "the American Way" wasn't added until the McCarthy era...
For an interesting read, get the graphic novel from DC called "Red Son" which speculates
on the twist, what if Kal-El's capsule landed in the Northern Ukraine instead of Kansas?

George Reeves, eh? That's going back a bit. Dean Cain didn't have the curl either, but I never really thought he looked much like Superman anyway. For me, the Christopher Reeve era sets the bar for what Supes should look like. He could have been a little bulkier, but Reeve has definitely been the best Superman to date, aesthetically speaking.

As for "the American way", I'm not sure what point you're trying to make there - I mentioned it in passing as part of the boy scout image that makes Supes who is. Tbh, it's kind of a dated, cornball slogan - probably why Perry White says "truth, Justice, all that stuff" in Superman Returns.

Well after a long hiatus from the forum I had to come back and say this .......

I have watched the latest Man Of Steel trailer ( no 3 ) and have got to say ....

WOW !

Being a huge Superman fan since I was a kid and watched Christopher Reeve play the part I had my doubts about this film ..BUT now I could not be more excited and full of impatience for its release , from the looks of the trailer Synder might just have nailed it ....June cannot come quick enough !

( I must have watched the trailer around 10 times in the last 24 hours open mouthed and eyes full of awe )

dall
I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

It does look pretty good. Can't wait to see it.

I will say this, though...

I read an interview with Snyder where he states that Kryptonite is never mentioned in the film. Ever. :|

I'm just hoping they're saving that for the sequel.
