I must confess (granted having seen only one episode) that I'm surprised you like this show Mac. Obviously the titillation that keeps the kids watching isn't gonna keep you watching for long and the style is fine but looses it's grip after 3 fight sequences. Is the story that good?

Or are you just a shallow, sad little perv?

ya know, I don't really give a crap about the sex in Spartacus...

they kind of over do the sexual element in this series...

I like the violence...

that last episode of season 1 was a killer (literally)

Oh, how I love this show. It’s definitely my favourite atm.

Part of why it’s grown on me so is that I started watching it without any expectations, not knowing anything about it (other than the obvious – gladiators, yay eye candy!). So it was campy entertainment and the delicious dialogue and manner of speech that had me coming back initially.

I remember that the fourth episode had me thinking that it was getting quite serious (“The Thing in the Pit” was probably one of the toughest eppies in the series, lots of violence there…o_O). I thoroughly enjoyed the next episode, and then I remained quite speechless at the end of the sixth one (“Delicate Things”) and came to the conclusion that “these guys actually mean business”.

It was an incredible ride since, every episode managing to somehow top the one before, and I was sold. The finale was undoubtedly the best season finale I’ve ever seen. Ever. I was completely satisfied.

My favourite charrie is definitely Crixus. He looks amazing (yeah, I’m a perv, I know :P), but most importantly the character development he got has been so compelling, and I loved his evolution.

Here’s hoping we get more soon, and fingers crossed that it’s as good as the first taste!

EDIT: I see there are two threads for Spartacus: Blood and Sand? Hope this was the right place to post. ;)

Ohnoes! You're even easier to placate than I am. This is bad!

To bring it back on topic, which was your favourite eppie so far? And what charries do you like most? :)

I'm partial to Sparticus himself...

I will miss his best friend, the one he had to kill...

My favorite episode was the season 1 finally... so much screaming and blood-letting
